Our History
Three Generations of Estate Planning with One Unchanging Goal
Our Founder

In Memory Of Thomas P. Ziniti,
CFP® (1921-2008)
Our Team

1952: The founder of the firm, Thomas Ziniti, obtained his securities license and built his investment practice through personal service, a reputation for honesty and a strong work ethic. Tom focused his energies helping hard working middle class families build their nest eggs through monthly investment plans.
On May 3, 2008, Tom Ziniti ended his pilgrimage on earth, and died peacefully at the age of 86.
Throughout the following six decades, MAP Estate Planning grew from a small solo practice into a successful, multi-faceted wealth management firm, achieved by employing the same level of service, integrity and knowledge Tom brought to his clients from day one.
1977: Stephen Ziniti joined Tom’s thriving practice and through the tutelage of his father, helped grow the business also creating the name, MAP Estate Planning, Inc.
1982: Always looking to expand their knowledge and provide the best service to clients, both Tom and Steve obtained the then unknown designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM. Steve also became a Registered Investment Advisor Representative with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
2008: Steve’s son, Anthony Ziniti, began his career on the institutional side of the financial services industry.
2009: Anthony earned his MBA in Personal Financial Planning from Molloy College. Anthony and Steve also obtained the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® designation.
2012: Like his father and grandfather, Anthony earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation.
2018: Anthony joined MAP Estate Planning as a Partner and Registered Representative, bringing his 12 years of institutional experience, empathic and relatable nature, knowledge, and strong work ethic.
2021: MAP Estate Planning's offices expand to larger quarters, centrally located in Westbury, New York. Our Client Services Associate, Patricia Preiss, joins the firm as the business continues to expand.
2024: Leah, Anthony's wife, passes her FINRA Series 7 Exam to become a Registered Assistant. Ann and Steve retire from MAP but Steve remains in a consultant role and not as an advisor to clients.
MICS ON WITH LON - GUEST ADVISOR ANTHONY ZINITI OF MAP ESTATE PLANNING (FULL LENGTH)
In this episode of Mics On With Lon, hosted by AP President and Osaic Vice Chairman Lon T. Dolber, this captivating interchange between two seasoned second- and third-generation planners runs the gamut of topics from best practices to trusted relationships and overcoming adversity.
Ziniti’s powerfully inspiring story about the loss of his and wife Leah’s 4-month daughter due to a congenital neuromuscular disorder motivated them to create the Caterina Grace Foundation to raise awareness and develop treatment therapies for Nemaline Myopathy, the condition for which Caterina was diagnosed with and lost her courageous battle to.
