Registered Representative

Tom Ziniti, Steve's father, retired from daily participation in our business in 2001, after almost 50 years of service in the financial services industry. It all started in 1952, when he began his career selling mutual funds and life insurance as a Registered Representative for First Investors Corporation. During his long career, he also held his securities license with Nathan & Lewis Securities, Inc. and finally with American Portfolios Financial Services, Inc.

Tom earned the Certified Financial Planner® designation in 1982 from Adelphi University. In addition to running his own practice, he was a consultant for MAP Estate Planning from 1977 until his passing on May 3, 2008 at the age of 86. He exemplified the qualities of integrity, reliability and commitment in all aspects of his life. He taught us that financial planning is more about people than it is about finances. His experience and the knowledge he shared, guided us, and continues to inspire us to be the best we can be.

We owe much gratitude to Tom for closely coaching Steve in his early years in the business, and his wisdom remains in our hearts. We would not be the financial planners we are today without his example. Steve's father's and mother's maxims were to "be true to yourself," and "say what you mean and mean what you say."

Someday, Steve will see his dad again, and they'll both remember how they were father and son here on earth. And they'll smile, laugh and be happy with God forever.
